It is getting colder- but it is the season of Hiking, Fairs with my favorite rides and: Halloween, guys! My first Halloween - OK, my second Halloween. But this time it was my first party! And I am cycling now!! But see for yourself!

October 8th, 2017

Hi guys, it's been 2 months since I updated this blog. Too long - and a lot has happened again. Not only the weather changed from Summer to autum, I changed as well. I turned 1 end of August, which means I am no baby any longer! I can eat with a spoon by myself (the food doesn't always make it into my mouth though. Very strange...), and I can stand freely and I can even do 2-3 steps by myself - when I am not tired or hungry!

But let's get back to August. The most important thing was that Mommy and Daddy were visiting. They spent 2 weeks here and we had a lot of fun celebrating my birthday (it was a full week celebrating), going to the mountains, exploring the city or eating tons of cake (I had my first piece on my first birthday - and many more during my celebration week). They left already, but I'll see them soon in the desert!

I also started my kindergarten carreer - OK, it is a nursery, but I enjoy it very much. We are 10 kids in there and I am not the youngest :-)

Later in September, the Octoberfest started in Munich. It was my first time there. I loved the carousell, but for me personally, it was too crowded. But I'll be there next year, that's for sure! After the Octoberfest ended, everything is a bit quieter here, the zoo is almost empty, and I spend a lot of time with my Papas outside. The leaves are falling from the trees and I love to play with thse leaves. they make funny noises. Yesterday, we went to Papa Manuels hometown, thay have a mini-Octoberfest there. I really loved this as it was much more quiet - and even Oma Renate took me on a ride!

Hi people! I am back. Living in Munich is not as bad as I thought. We have the zoo next door and I love to spend my time there. I especially love the little house with the mice and the baby goats. The elephants are impressive, but they never look up when I try to communicate. And we spend almost every evening in a big beer garden with a huge playing area. There are hundreds of toys and other kids around.

Last weekend we went to Austria and celebrated my Oma Martinas 60th birthday. We even went to a knights dinner where people ate with hands - do not understand what was so special about it, I eat with my hands all the time! Did I tell you that I can climb the stairs all by myself already? And I can freely stand for a couple of seconds, soon, I'll be able to walk, hopefully when Mommy and Daddy are here, in not even 3 weeks, yeahh! Talk to you soon, love you!

Hallo Leute, ich bin wieder da! Das Leben in München ist gar nicht so schlecht wie ich dachte. Wir haben den Zoo nebenan und ich verbringe sehr viel Zeit dort. Vor allem liebe ich das kleine Häuschen mit den Mäusen und die Baby-Ziegen. Die Elefanten sind zwar beeindruckend, aber sie schauen nie auf, wenn ich versuche, mit ihnen zu kommunizieren. Und wior verbringen fast jeden Abend im Biergarten mit dem riesigen Spielplatz. Da sind hunderte von Spielsachen und andere Kinder.

Letztes Wochenende haben wir in Innsbruck verbracht, haben dort deon 60sten meiner Oma Martina gefeiert. Wir waren sogar beim Ritteressen und alle Leute haben mit den Händen gegessen. Was daran allerdings so besonders sein soll, habe ich nicht verstanden. Ich mache das die ganze Zeit. Habe ich euch schon erzählt, dass ich die Treppen ganz alleine hochkomme? Und ich kann schon für ein paar Sekunden frei stehen. Bald werde ich wohl auch Laufen können, hoffentlich dann, wenn Mommy und Daddy hier sind, in nicht einemal mehr 3 Wochen, yeahh! Another month has passed...

And we are living in Munich now. Me, alone with my Papas. But the apartment is not finished yet, but at least my stuff is there already! And I hope my Papas are as flexible when it comes to my wishes as Oma and Opa. We will see. But before we moved, we visited our friends in Switzerland. It was great to see Imogen, Susanne, Allan, Philipp, little Vincent (yes, he is even small than I am) and Anna - did you know that Anna made a movie about her great-great uncle who emigrated into the US and became a Soul musician? My Papas are in this movie, too! And last week, I visited my other Oma and Opa and my Ur-oma and Ur-Opa in Eastern Germany. We had such a blast! Oh, and did you know that Mommy and Daddy are coming over for my birthday? Yeahh!!

Wieder ist ein Monat vergangen...

Aber wir leben jetzt in München. Ich, alleine mit meinen Papaps. Aber unser Apartment ist noch nicht 100% fertig, aber zum Glück sind meine Sachen schon alle hier. Und ich glaube, meine Papas sind nicht so flexibel bei meinen Wünschen wie Oma und Opa. Wir werden sehen. Bevor wir umgezogen sind, haben wir noch unsere Freunde in Zürich besucht. Es war echt genial, wir haben Imogen, Susanne, Allan, Philipp, klein Vincent getroffen - der ist sogar noch kleiner als ich - und Anna getroffen. Habt ihr gewusst, dass Anna einen Film über ihren Urgross-Onkel gedreht hat, der in die USA ausgewandert ist und dort Soul Musiker wurde? Meine Papas kann man auch in diesem Film sehen! Letztes Woche haben wir noch meine andere Oma und anderen Opa und sogar Uroma und Uropa besucht. Wir hatten einen mords Spass! Ach übrigens: Habe ich euch erzählt, dass Mommy und Daddy zu meinem Geburtstag kommen werden? Yeahh!!!

It has been a busy month in Germany - we are still living in the countryide, by the way - we went to Austria twice (once for the wedding party of uncle Janek and aunt Marina), had a family party where I was wearing an official Bavarian dress called Dirndl - my Mommy gets one too when she comes - prepared our apartment in Munich (my Papas painted my room in a shocking colour, I am not amused!) and it was hot hot hot (where is the San Francisco cooling breeze?). Next weekend we are off to Zurich in Switzerland. I'll keep you  posted!

Es war echt viel los im letzten Monat - wir leben immer noch aufm Land, mal so nebenbei erwähnt - wir waren 2x in Österreich (einmal für Onkel Janeks und Tante Marinas Hochzeits-Party), hatten Kommunion von Lilly, an der ich sogar ein Dirndl getragen habe - meine Mommy bekommt auch eins, wenn sie kommt - haben unser Apartment in München vorbereitet (meine Papas haben mein Zimmer in einer schockierenden Farbe gestrichen. I am not amused!) und es war soooo heiss (wo ist der kühlende San Francisco Wind?). Nächstes Wochenende sind wir dann in Zürich. Ich werde euch berichten!

Sorry guys for the late upload of my newest pics. But a lot has happened and I was without a computer for several days.

We are in Germany now. Saying Goodbye to California was hard, I'll miss everyone! But I'll be back soon. Me and my Papas are living with Oma Renate and Opa Franz in the Bavarian countryside for the moment. But I heard, that our apartment in Munich is already empty. We are waiting for the furniture to arrive (still at Oakland harbor), and then we will move in - and I'll have my own room just for myself. When we arrived, the weather was miserable. It was snowing. But spring is back now and we can be outside! But everyone was happy to see me. I really love playing with my cousin Lilli. And I have a new hobby as well (apart from my milk bottle, swimming, and being on the swing): crawling (or better: rolling) under coffee tables. I can spend hours under such a table. So much fun! You have to try it yourself. Oh, and I added a pic of the countryside where we are living now. On the background of the pic one can see the mountains, the Alps. And somewhere in between the Alps and our place is Munich. Talk to you soon!

Tut mir leid, Leut, dass ich schon wieder so viel Zeit verstreichen lassen habe. Aber es ist wieder mal viel passiert und ich hatte keinen Computerzugang die letzten Tage.

Wir sind in Deutschland. Der Abschied aus Kalifornien fiel allerdings echt schwer, ich vermisse alle. Aber ich komme ja bald wieder.

Zur Zeit wohne ich mit meinen Papas bei Oma Renate und Opa Franz im bayerischen Hinterland, habe allerdings gehört, dass unser Apartment in München bereits leer ist und wir nur noch auf die Möbel warten (die immer noch im Hafen in Oakland sind), und sobald die da sind, ziehen wir ein - und ich werde sogar mein eigenes Zimmer haben. Als wir in München gelandet sind, war das Wetter fürchterlich. Es hat sogar geschneit. Zum Glück ist es mittlerweile wieder Frühling und wir können uns wieder draussen bewegen. Aber jeder hat sich gefreut, mich zu sehen. Ich liebe es, mit meiner Cousine Lilli zu spielen. Und ich habe ein neues Hobby (neben meiner Milchflasche, dem Schwimmen oder dem Schaukeln): Unter Couchtischen krabbeln (oder besser: rollen). Ich kann Stunden dort verbringen. Ist super spannend. Müsst ihr mal ausprobieren. Ich habe übrigens ein Foto unserer bayerischen Landschaft hochgeladen. Im Hintergund kann man sogar die Alpen sehen. Und irgendwo dazwischen ist München. Bis bald, Leute.

Hi guys, a lot is going on lately. I am teething, I get very good in making silly faces, I can almost sit, and my language abilities are almost perfect (people just don' do what I am telling them!).

But the most important thing: We just came back from a trip down to Palm Springs to visit a big part of my family. It was a blast. I saw Mommy and Daddy, grandmas Bonny and Deanna, grandpa Joe, Aunts Haley, Cassidie, River, Sadie and Stephanie, an uncle I haven't met so far, uncle Elijah and my friends Nora and Samatha. I was really exhausted when we came back to San Francisco, but it was so much fun! See you in 2 weeks, folks!

Hallo Leute, es passiert gerade sehr viel. Ich zahne, werde sehr gut im Grimassen schneiden, kann fast schon alleine sitzen und meine sprachlichen Faehigkeiten sind ziemlich perfektioniert (die Leute machen einfach nur nicht das, was ich ihnen sage!).

Abder das Wichitigste: Wir sind gerade von einem Ausflug nach Palm Springs zurueck gekommen. Haben dort einen Teil meiner amerikanische Familie besucht. War genial! The last couple of weeks in SF went by so fast. We had some heavy rain - it even rain into our apartment - but also some very sunny days. But no matter what kind of weather we are heaving: I enjoy being outdoors with my Papas - or being invited to friends place, like in the pic to Arnauds and Guillaumes place where we had traditional French Galette - and of course a huge bottle of milk!

Die letzten Wochen in SF sind wir im Flug vergangen. Wir hatten ziemlich viel Regen - es hat sogar in unser Apartment geregnet - aer auch einige sehr sonnige Tage. Aber ganz egal wie das Wetter auch ist: Ich liebe es, mit meinen papa viel Zeit draussen zu verbringen - oder auch eingeladen zu werden, wie im Bild unten bei Arnaud und Guillame wo wir traditionelle franzoesische Galettes bekommen haben - und natuerlich noch ein grosse Flasche Milch!

We are back in rainy SF, folks. I had a blast in Germany and a lot of fun in Florida. I saw my first Alligator, went to se the butterflies (those are difficult to catch, I tried it!) and was in the pool and even the sea - I don't know, why most o you enjoy pools or the sea. For me it's a little bit too much water. Scary....

Wir sind wieder im regnerischen San Francisco. War sehr aufregend in Deutschland und Florida hat mir sehr viel Spass gemacht. Ich habe meinen ersten Alligator gesehen, wir waren bei den Schmetterlingen (sehr schwieirg, diese einzufangen, ich habe es versucht...) und ich war zum ersten Mal im Pool und im Meer - irgendwie verstehe ich diese Begeisterung von diversen Leuten bei Pools und Meer nicht. Mir ist das viel zu viel Wasser. Beaengstigend....

Thursday, January 12th

Happy New Year from Germany, folks! It is freaking cold here, but I have a blast. I've met so many new family members.

But before coming here, me and my Papas had a lovely Christmas. I was able to unwrap a coupke of presents. Thank you all. Really exciting. The next day we spent with Christian. I hope I can taste some of this duck next Christmas as well.

The flight to Germany was easy, I slept most of the time. And I decided to stick to the CA time zone in Germany. It was so much fun playing with my Papas in the middle of the night. But the cold was unexpected. At least there is snow - and next winter, I'll build my own snowman.

We are here until January 21st, before we all fly to Miami. Some sun before it gets back to rainy San Francisco. I'll keep you posted.

Ein frohes neues Jahr aus Deutschland wünsche ich euch. Es ist brual kalt hier, abr mir gehts super. Habe scho so vile hneue Familienmitglieder kennen gelent.

Aber bevor wir losgeflogen sind, hatten wir 3 noch gemütliche Weihnachten. Ich durfte viele Geschenke auspacken Vielen Dank an alle. Wr echt spannend. Den 25. haben wir dann beim Christian verbracht. Hoffentlich kann ich nächstes Jahr dann auch ein Stück von der Ente probieren.

Der Flug nach München war easy. Habe fast durchgeschlafen. Danach habe ich beschlossen, auch weiterhin in der Westküsten Zeitzone zu bleiben. Hat ziemlich Spass gemacht, mit meinen Papaps mitten in der Nacht zu spielen. Aber die Kälte traf mich unerwartet. Wenigstens liegt viel Schnee - und nächsten Winter werde ich meinen eigenen Schneemann bauen.

Wir bleiben noch hier bis zum 21.1., dann fliegen wir alle nach Miami. Ein wenig Sonne tanken, bevor es ins regnerische San Francisco geht. Ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden.

Thursday, December 22nd

Merry Christmas, everyone! I am already very excited. My trip to Germany is around the corner. 4 more days and I am in a long fligh to Europe. I heard it is cold over there - blame it on my frozen fingers if I don't write. But both my Omas already bought heavy winter gear for me, so I should be fine! And I am somehow used to the cold. Was very cold here in San Francisco. We even moved to another bedroom, as ours didn't get warm enough. I don't like sleeping in the new bedroom though- and I am trying to explain this to my Papas every night.

The last week was again full of activities with a lot of people. I am a busy girl!

Frohe Weihnachten allerseits. Ich bin schon sehr aufgeregt. Meine Reise nach Deutschland steht vor der Tuer. Noch 4 Tage und dann geht's los nach Europa. Ich habe gehoert, dass es dort kalt sein soll - falls ich also nicht schreibe liegt es an meinen gefrorenen Fingern. Aber beide meine Omas haben wir dicke Wintersachen gekauft. Sollte also alles gut gehen. Aber ich habe mich eh schon an die kaelte gewoehnt. War sehr kalt hier. Wir sind sogar in das andere Zimmer gezogen, unser Schlafzimmer sit einfach nicht richtig warm geworden. Aber ich mag es gar nicht, in dem neuen Zimmer zu schlafen - ich versuche das meinen Papas auch jeden Abend zu erklaeren.

Letzte Woche war wieder voller Aktivitaeten mit vielen Leuten. Ich bin wie immer sehr beschaeftigt!

A couple of days more and I'll see Mommy and Daddy again. Will they think that I changed quite a bit since they saw me the last time? I am really looing forward to it!!!  It will be my first Halloween ever! Last weekend I started to prepare myself already. We went to a pumkin patch, after we picked up Markus from the airport (yes, he brought a lot of books!!) and I already saw ghosts - on the pic below: I didn't sleep, I closed my eyes. It was scary.... Luckily I could relax after that in a nice warm bath.

Nur noch wenige Tage und ich sehe Mommy und Daddy wieder. Bin schon gespannt, ob sie mich noch erkennen. Freue mich schon sehr darauf!!! Das wird auch mein erstes Halloween sein! Letztes Wochenede habe ich mich schon darauf eingestimmt. Wir waren bei einem Kuerbis-Festival, nachdem wir Markus vom Flughafen abgeholt haben (yes, er hat mir viele Buecher mitgebracht!!) und ich habe mein ersten Gespenster gesehen - auf dem Bild unten: Ich habe da nicht geschlafen, ich habe meine Augen geschlossen, weil es so gruselig war.... Zum Glueck konnte ich danach bei einem schonene warmen Bad entspannen.

Saturday was Golden Gate Brige-Day again. OK, Papas, I have seen it now....

Sunday, I had to say Goodbye to Bettina and Benni. Hope to see you soon, guys!!! And the weather on Sunday perfectly fitted to my Good-bye mood: It rained and rained and rained. Perfect also for extensive sleeping, cuddling with some of my buddies and taking a bath!!

Last Friday we went to a restaurant for Papa Manuels birthday – I woke up right before the food came, so I didn't miss a thing! One lady came to me and said: "Oh, what a chubby baby, can I squeeze her?" No, definitely not. And I am not chubby. I just love to eat. Speaking of eating: Do you see the pics of the photo shoot for Daddy Tylers birthday? The little balloon was so yummy. At one point they tried to take it away, I didn't like it.

After that, we went to Silicon Valley, Stanford University in Palo Alto. We walked around the campus end enjoyed the weather ( I had a blowout there, luckily I had something to change with me, Papa Marco not. But don't tell anybody…). Sunday was much more relaxed. We stayed home most of the day. I needed to sleep!

Letzten Freitag waren wir in einem Restaurant zu Papa Manuels Geburtstag – ich bin gerade noch rechtzeitig aufgewacht, kurz bevor das Essen kam, hätte sonst allerlei verpasst! Eine Frau kam dort übrigens auf mich zu und meinte: "Was für ein pummeliges Baby, kann ich sie drücken?" Nein, sicherlich nicht! Und ich bin nicht pummelig, ich liebe es halt einfach zu Essen. Apropos Essen: Habt ihr schon die Fotos unten vom Fotoshoot zu Daddy Tyler Geburtstag gesehen? Der kleine Ballon war echt lecker. Sie wollten ihn mir wegnehmen, aber nicht mit mir! Danach sind wir noch ins Silicon Valley, zur Standford Universität. Wir sind dort aufm Campus herumgewandert und haben die Sonne genossen. (Im Café hatte ich dann plötzlich Flitzekacke, zum Glück hatte ich was zum Umziehen dabei. Papa Marco allerdings nicht… Aber erzählt es nicht weiter). Der Sonntag war dafür viel entspannter. Wir waren fast den ganzen Tag zu Hause. I brauchte meinen Schlaf!

Last weekend is already long ago. But it was a nice one. I spent quite some time with my aunt Bettina and Benni. We went to see the Golden Gate Brige and we went to the beach. And my new grandfather-onsie was perfect for such a day!!! I can tell you - I was very exhausted at the end of the day. But it was hard to fall asleep after such an exciting day.

Sunday was not so nice. We spent hours and hours at IKEA. I didn't like it. But at least I got my activity center they promised me for ages!

The next couple of days will be exciting as well. First it will be Papa Manuels birthday and the day after Daddy Tylers. Woohoo!

Das letzte Wochenende ist schon lange vorbei. Aber es war super. Habe viel Zeit mit Tante Bettina und Benni verbracht. Wir haben uns die Golden Gate Bruecke angeschaut und waren am Strand. Mein neues Grandfather-Outfit war perfekt fuer diesen Tag!! Aber ich sage euch - ich war nudelfertig am Abend und vor lauter Aufregung konnte ich stundenlang nicht einschlafen.

Sonntag war nicht so toll. Wir haben Stunden bei IKEA verbracht. Mag ich nicht. Aber zumindes haben sie mir endlich mein Activity-Center gekauft, das sie mir schon seit Ewigkeiten versprochen haben.

Die naechsten Tage werden auch aufregend. Erst hat Papa Manuel Geburtstag und dann tags drauf Daddy Tyler. Jeahh

Happy Friday again!

I went to my favourite Doc Sara again. She told mje, that I am growing in each direction. Not sure, if this was a polite sentence.... I am 22in now and 11.1 pounds. And with that, I am taller and bigger than 90% of all babies my age. But Sara also told me, that the current growth mode will stop in a coupke of days. Probably I won't be that hungry any more.

Yesterday night, a big package of clothes from my grandpa Eric and Deanna came. See below, I love it.

And my first relative from Germany arrived. Papa Marcos Cousin Bettina and her boyfriend Benni. They brought me presents as well. A nice tableware set. Yesterday was a very good day :-)

Oh, and did I tell you, that I can focus on things now? I tried it with the Mobile, Loni made for me. I just love to star at it!

Schoenes Wochenende, Leute!

Ich war heute wieder bei meiner Lieblings-Aerztin Sara. Sie hat mir gesagt, dass ich in alle Richtungen wachse. Bin mir nicht sicher, ob das hoeflich war... Auf jeden Fall wiege ich jetzt 5,1 kg und bin 57 cm gross. Das bedeutet, dass ich groesser und schwerer bin als 90% aller amerikanischen Babies meines Alters.Aber Sara meinte, der Wachstumsschub wird i den naecshten Tagen vorbei sein. Wahrscheinlich bin ich dann auch nicht mehr so hungrig.

Gestern Abend kam ein grosses Packet Klamotten von meinem Grandpa Eric und Deanna an. Die sind super, seht unten.

Und meine erste deutsche Verwandte kam gestern an. Papa Marcos Cousine Bettina und ihr Freund Benni. Auch von ihnen bekam ich Geschenke, mein erstes Geschirr. Gestern war ein schoener Tag :-)

Oh, habe ich euch erzaehlt, dass ich jetzt Sachen fixieren kann? Ich habe es mit dem Mobile versucht, das mir Loni gebastelt hat. Ich liebe es, es einfach nur anzustarren.

Sorry, folks, for not writing gor a log time, but I was really busy recently.

We had a real hot summer weekend - and it is still ongoing. So I was on the road quite a lot.

I explored a new part of the town on Saturday. Haight-Ashbury. The old hippie area.  So many weird shops. But guess what: I found my Halloween costume! But I won't tell you :-)  Was really exhausted, when we returned back home.

On Sunday, I was preparing the birthday present for my Daddy. I was really shocked, when they told me, that it will take 10 weeks to arrive. So hopefully I have it ready, when Daddy and Mommy are coming to visit me in December. Later that that I met Guillaum and Arnaud, my new Belgian/French friends. We had them over for coffee and cake.

Sorry, dass ich so lange nicht geschrieben habe, aber ich war sehr beschaeftigt.

Wir hatten ein heisses Sommer-Wochenende und die Hitze haelt immer noch an. Deshalb war ich viel draussen.

Am Samstag habe ich das ehemalige Hippie-Viertel der Stadt, Haight-Ashbury, erkundet. Viele verrueckte Geschaefte hats dort. Aber immerhin: Ich habe mein Kostuem fuer Halloween gefunden. Aber was, wird nicht verraten. Allerdings war ich dann wirklich sehr kaputt, alos wir wieder zu Hause waren.

Am Sonntag habe ich das Geburtstagsgeschenk fuer meinen Daddy vorbereitet. Nun muss ich ganze 10 Wochen darauf warten. Verrueckt. Hoffentlich habe ich es, wenn Daddy und Mommy im Dezember zu Besuch kommen. Am Nachmittag hatten wir dann Gaeste zum Kaffee. Guillaume und Arnaud waren hier, meine neuen belgisch/franzoesischen Freunde.

Schaut, was ich von meinen Papas bekommen habe. Irgendwie erinert mich das an einen Typen, den ich neulich gesehen habe....

Hello from the docs office. It is my 2nd appointment already. I like my doc very much. She doesn't poke me!! And she says, that I am doing pretty good. With my 9.5 pounds, I am right on track. And the best - now I can have tummy time officially. Please don't tell anybody, that I already had tummy time last weekend. I like it so much.

Servus aus der Arztpraxis. Ist bereits mein 2. Termin. Ich mag meine Tante Doktor sehr gerne, bis jetzt hat sie mich auch noch nicht gepiekst! Und sie meint, dass ich mich super entwickle. Mittlerweile wiege ich 4,3kg, genau richtig. Und das Beste: Ich darf ab jetzt offiziell auf dem Bauch liegen. Aber bitte erzaehlt nicht weiter, dass ich bereits letztes Wochenende auf dem Bauch geschlafen habe. Mag ich wirklich gerne.

What a busy weekend. It was so exciting and I met so many new friends. Papa Manuels co-worker from Germany and his wife Maria came visiting and stayed until Saturday. Maria liked to hold me and we even went for a short hike up on Twin Peaks. Whoohoo, I loved the view!

After they left, we had a typical German cake and coffee afternoon with our Indian friends Anukta and Mukesh. Anukta speaks German, too and she even promised to teach me Hindi. Bollywood, here I come!!!

Sunday was a bit quieter, enjoyed a hot city Sunday at a cafe in Noe Valley - and there I got my new sleeping bag. Yes, a pink one!! I didn't like the old one any longer. I can't stand to be swaddled any longer. I need the freedom to move!!! And I slept so well in it. Oh, and I had the first bath in my own little bath tub. I enjoyed it very much - but I loved the hairdryer afterwards :-)

Was fuer ein stressiges Wochenende. Es war ziemlich aufregend und ich habe viele neue Freunde kennen gelernt. Papa Manuels Kollege Olaf mit seiner FFrau waren von Freitag auf Samstag hier. Maria hatte mich sehr gerne auf dem Arm und wir machten sogar eine kleine Wanderung hoch auf Twin Peaks. Die Aussicht, wow! Nachdem sie gegeangen sind, hatten wir einen typisch deutschen Kaffee und Kuchen Nachmittag. Zusammen mit unseren indischen Freunden Anukta und Mukesh. Anukta spricht auch Deutsch und sie hat mir versprochen, mir Hindi beizubringen. Bollywood, ich komme!!!

Sonntag war ein bisschen ruhiger. Wir haben einen typischen heissen Stadt-Tag im Noe Valley verbracht - wo ich dann auch meinen neuen Schlafsack bekommen habe. Den Puck-Sack mag ich nicht mehr. Da kann ich mich nicht bewegen und Bewegungsfreiheit brauche ich! Ich habe darin super geschlafen. Ach, und das erste Bad in meiner eigenen Wanne hatte ich auch. Das war genial. Aber noch besser war der Foehn hinterher :-)

Something amazing happened today: My cord fell off. My mommy says I am not an alien any more. And finally I can wear all my fancy clothes. What a day!

And I even got to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Finally. And yes, I can confirm: We live in a city!!

We just came home and after this long exiting day, cuddling with one of my Papas is the best! Good night folks.

Etwas total aufregendes ist heute passiert: Meine Nabelschnur ist abgefallen. Meine Mommy hat gemeint, dass ich ab jetzt nicht mehr wie ein Ausserirdischer aussehe. Und endlich kann ich auch all meinen total modischen Klamotten tragen. Was für ein Tag!

Ich habe sogar die Golden Gate Brücke gesehen. Endlich. Und ja, ich kann es bestätogen: Wir leben in einer Stadt.

Wir sind gerade nach Hause gekommen und nach einem langen und ereignisreichen Tag ist as das Beste, mit einem meiner Papaps zu kuscheln. Gute Nacht, Leute.

September 4 - 7, 2016

My first road trip

Sunday was a little bit sad for me. I had to say goodbye to my Mommy and my Daddy. Luckily I could spend a couple of hours with them - they showed me even where they are working and I met their co-workers, too! Watch out, Mommy, Daddy and my desert family, I'll be back soon!

Then the road trip started - and you wouldn't believe: The car was a mess. Bags, suitcases everywhere. I begin to ask myself: Are my Papaps really German? This didn't seemt o be perfectly organized at all. I'll keep watching them! But luckily, I had my space!

The first stop we made was downtown LA. Here we stayed at Papa Marcos coworker Nancys place, where Imet Nancy for the first time as well. Nancy thinks I am very cute and she made me a present, a painting from a Croatian artist. I like her :-)

Downtown LA is differetn than expected. Not so many famous people, but very tall buildings. They are even taller than the ones in La Quinta, I guess. Pretty cool place, I am impressed.

The next day we continued our drive with destination Santa Barbara. My Papaps tried to feed me in Malibu. I guess, they wanted to check out the beach people there, but nope, not with me. I decided to get hungry soon after we left Malibu, right on the highway. I like to trick them. have seen my Papaps getting nervous. That was really funny! 

And Santa Barbara - I knew I was a beach girl. The moment I saw the beach, I started to smile. Beach life is my life. Check out the pics, folks!

The next day brought me to a beautiful little village called Cambria. The receptionist in the hotel we stayed told me, that I am the most beautiful little baby she ever saw. I smiled at her and she upgraded us instantly. She gave us the best room in the hotel. An oceanfront room. I think I learned a life lesson today. Smiling brings upgrades. Hope this can be transferred to every other aspect of life as well. World, here I come! Have to try this on my Papas, too....

The last day of our trip. The scenic route from Cambria to San Francisco. Just right after we left, we stopped to see the Sea Elephants. This was the best part of the day the remaining part is not as scenic when you are sqeezed into a car seat facing backwards. I think my Papas don't really understand this. Oh, and did I ever tell you that I don't like car seats? Need to tell my Papas as well - have to figure out how to best telling them....

San Francisco, here I am. Warmer than expected. What did my Papaps Mommy and Daddy tell all the times? Fog? Nope.... But I am not in the mood the check out my new home. I am still too upset about this car seat thing. I think I try a little bit of a night crying today. Let's see if they ever think of putting me into a car seat for days again....

Hey I'm out of the stinky (my Mom said so) hospital and with my dads alone. I think it's time for a party. Sleeping? Not with me.

Hallo ich bin endlich aus dem bloeden (kommt nicht von mir - Mama wars) Krankenhaus raus und mit meinen Vaetern allein. Ich denke es ist Zeit fuer eine Party. Schlafen, soll ich? Nicht mit mir!
